Senior Category Specialist, EMEA Indirect
To deliver on our corporate purpose of making a wonderful sound part of everyone’s life, WS Audiology is looking for a new Senior Category Specialist to impact indirect purchasing in Poland, as well as the EMEA region.
The team
Your new Leader, the Global Category Manager Packaging and Country Procurement Manager is coordinating a team distributed across different countries, dealing with the Packaging category at WSA. The team is in need of another skilled expert to oversee local indirect purchasing and to share packaging knowledge with a new team member. Together with your colleagues, you will engage with both internal and external stakeholders.

What you will do
In your new role, you will be in charge of procuring indirect items locally, and may also have the opportunity to assist with procurement in other countries. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the company’s ERP system contains up-to-date and accurate master data. As an expert in your field, you will be expected to provide recommendations and influence decision-making on policies, practices, and procedures.
In this role you’ll be focusing on:
- Leading Indirect Category at country level being responsible for:
- Identify cost saving opportunity through price negotiation, developing alternative source/vendor/service, etc.
- Monitoring and tracking cost saving against target.
- Following up action plan to close gap.
- Leading developing strategies, driving projects/solutions to bring efficiencies into the business and also costs effectiveness.
- Supporting local teams with all Indirect Spend being accountable for Budgeting, Cost Benefits analysis ensuring Competitiveness and right agreed service level.
- Supporting Packaging Category on developing strategy, benchmarking, analysis of competitiveness and negotiations.
- Cost Saving Project
- Identify cost saving opportunity though price negotiation, developing alternate source/materials, global consolidation, etc.
- Monitoring and tracking of cost saving against target.
- Following up action plan to close gap.
- Creation and ongoing maintenance of the vendor master data, ensure that all vendors are provided with correct attributes and data in our ERP-System Infor LN.
- Storing procurement contracts in contract management tool
What you bring
We are seeking a self-organized and proactive team player who can work independently as well as in cross-functional teams. You should also be a knowledgeable problem solver who can contribute to the improvement of master data management processes. Effective time management, organization skills, and interpersonal skills are essential for this exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of a highly efficient procurement team.
To succeed in this role, you should be enthusiastic about developing your expertise in packaging purchasing.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in indirect purchasing.
- A university degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Electronics, Medical Devices, and Automotive (including Tier 1) is preferred.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, electronics, med-tech, and automotive is preferable.
- Interest or previous experience in packaging will be beneficial.
Personal competencies
- Demonstrated solid communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with stakeholders on the local as well as international level.
- Curiosity, open-mindedness, and strong negotiation skills.
- Independence, but also willingness to work closely with the team.
Our corporate language is English, so you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. We also require Polish on a communicative level.
