Cloud Platform Engineer (m/w/d)

Based out of our R&D department (in either Lynge, Denmark or Erlangen, Germany), you will be part of the newly formed Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), consisting of skilled Cloud architects, Platform-, DevOps- & Site Reliability engineers. The goal of the new CCoE organization is to advance WSA’s future cloud strategy, build a cloud platform - with associated services and generally provide governance structures around reliability, security & costs.
As one of our very experienced Cloud Platform Engineers (m/f/d), you will be joining an international Scrum team with motivated and skilled professionals to help implement WSA’s future generic Cloud Platform that can be used by any of our cloud-based software services in an efficient, secure & consistent manner.
What you will do
- Analyze overall requirements and design the appropriate cloud infrastructure platform capabilities & services needed
- Build, automate & maintain a highly available cloud infrastructure platform on Microsoft Azure for customers worldwide
- Work closely with several internal customers (e.g. development teams) and support them with generic and expandable cloud platform capabilities
- Work closely with cloud and hardware architects and hearing aid specialist to create best-in-class cloud solutions
What you bring
Your Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years’ extensive experience in Azure Cloud development or similar field
- Experience & interest in software development practices
- Experience working with large scale cloud-based systems
Your technical competencies
- Deep technical knowledge about Azure infrastructure and development, .NET Core/C# based; Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform/OpenTofu)
- Modern DevOps and deployment automation practices
- Azure DevOps - including build and release pipelines
- Containerization (e.g., Docker/OCI-Images) and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes/ OpenShift/ AKS/ EKS/ GKS)
- Modern architectures (e.g., Microservices, clean architecture)
- Security & Reliability minded
And beyond your professional qualifications, we are looking for the following:
- You are a self-starter and take initiative and ownership when something is not working – also on system & solution level
- You are able to both give and receive constructive feedback and people will see you as a structured problem solver
- Last but not least, we would expect you to be thriving in being part of a team and has the ability to exchange knowledge and expertise, internally as well as externally
- Fluent in English – both verbally and in writing
