Senior Network Specialist
In line with our mission to make wonderful sound a part of everyone’s life, WS Audiology is seeking a skilled Senior Specialist, Network to join a team of skilled colleagues operating our global network infrastructure. Beyond your direct team, you will work with business stakeholders and technical infrastructure and application teams implementing enterprise-level solutions to meet their business and technical requirements.
This position is open at our locations in Komorniki, Poland and Lynge, Denmark.
The Team
As our new Senior Specialist, Network, you will join the global Infrastructure Core Services team, a truly global across different sites. You will report to the Director of Infrastructure Core Services and collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Infrastructure, InfoSec, and Application teams.
What you will do
Our Infrastructure team is at an exciting juncture, embarking on a significant network transformation. As Senior Specialist, Network, you will play an important role in this transformation, especially in improving our network architecture and security to comply with evolving legal regulations and ISO standards.
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Implementing and operating large-scale, high-availability networks that support our global operations, including global office sites, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers.
- Proactively managing and optimizing network performance, ensuring low-latency, high-availability, and minimal downtime across the diverse global environment.
- Identifying and implementing latest network security measures to safeguard against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ensuring our network infrastructure complies with global industry standards, including regulatory requirements for medical devices, as well as cybersecurity best practices.
- Executing complex technical changes with least impact on business operations.
- Working with the Network and solution architects to develop network architectures, including LANs, WANs, intranets, and other data communication networks.
- Implementing solution designs and blueprint in alignment with network architect.
- Partner with IT, security, business operations, and manufacturing teams to ensure the network infrastructure meets the needs of production environments and business units.
- Providing technical guidance and support to infrastructure peers and other IT personnel.
Technology stack:
- Network architecture: WAN / LAN / WiFi / SD-WAN
- Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Juniper, Fortinet
- Network security and OT/IT separation (Purdue Model)
- Azure networking, routing, and security solutions
What you bring
Experience
- Advanced expertise in switching, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP).
- Expertise in network security protocols, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS/IDS), within enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with installing and maintaining Cisco Meraki, Catalyst, and Nexus switches in both office and data center environments
- Proficiency in working with security appliances, particularly from Fortinet portfolio.
- Experience in setting up and operating OT networks based on the Purdue Model
- Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Azure Virtual WAN, networks, and firewalls is preferred
- Familiarity with the NIST 2 framework and understanding of GDPR and Data Protection Act
