Join our team SW B2B CXX & PF ALG at WSAudiology now for a limited period of 9 months as an Associate Engineer, Software Development (m/f/d).
What you will do
As an Associate Engineer, Software Development (m/f/d) in our team you will report to our Team Lead for R&D Software B2B Platform Algorithms.
Your responsibilities will include the following tasks
- Supporting the transition of test responsibilities to Siemens Bangalore, including remote know-how transfer and independently executing test activities such as requirement reviews, in-sprint testing, automated test case development, and defect handling
- Close collaboration with SW Tester in India, our Product Owner, SW engineers, our SW architect and SW quality
- Collaboration in an agile, self-organised development team for a software product that is used to adjust hearing aids in order to optimally compensate for hearing loss, including development into producing clean, efficient code based on specifications
- Active participation in architecture and design decisions
- Use of the latest development technologies (primarily from Microsoft) to develop comprehensive solutions in the interaction of apps, desktop and cloud products, with a focus on test-driven development and continuous quality assurance
What you bring
- Completed apprenticeship in the fields of engineering or computer science
- Knowledge of an object-oriented high-level language (preferably C#)
- Deep knowledge of test methodologies (e.g. ISTQB) and the ability to design, implement and maintain test specifications for software features owned by the development team
- Experience with domain-related topics from related development departments such as audiology, signal processing, hardware development (e.g. real-ear measurement, first fit, curve simulation, feedback measurement), combined with the willingness to familiarise yourself with new topics
- Motivation to write high-quality code (clean code principles, TDD, pair programming) with the ambition to produce viable software solutions as a team
- Experience with larger software development projects, ideally in an agile environment
