What you will do
- Support our embedded software development & tooling team in daily tasks, including coding, testing, and documenting new features
- Contribute to improving software quality, performance, and maintainability
- Working together with experienced colleagues on Espressif ESP32 based project utilizing I²C and SPI to interact with hearing aids (prototypes)
- Maintenance and extension of existing Python GUI applications based on PySide6
- Depending on your interest and skills contribution to further productive internal tooling (i.e. in Python, Matlab, C++, or C# .NET)
What you bring
You are currently enrolled in a degree program in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, IT, or a similar field.
- Initial experience or knowledge in some of the following areas:
- Programming/scripting languages (C, C++, C# .NET, Python, Matlab, PowerShell, Markdown, reStructuredText).
- Tools and platforms (ESP IDF, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Git, Ansible, Yaml, Pytest).
- Electronics Knowledge: Basic understanding of electronic circuits, safe use of multimeters, logic analyzers, soldering tools and similar equipment
- Software Development: Familiarity with (embedded) software development and programming concepts.
- Languages: Proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken).
