As our new Senior Tax Professional you will play a key role in ensuring tax compliance and drive strategic optimization. You will act as a key business partner to our local Finance teams across the EMEA region and other HQ functions, driving process improvements and navigating complex tax landscapes to strengthen our global governance.
In this position, you’ll report directly to Niels Nyborg, Head of EMEA Tax & M&A Tax, and work at the center of strategic decision-making. As part of WSA’s Global Tax Team, you’ll join a team of 14 talented professionals - 7 of whom are based at our Lynge headquarters - and contribute to shaping the future of tax across the EMEA region.
What you will do
• Act as a trusted business partner to EMEA Finance teams in the EMEA region, serving as the primary point of contact for tax related matters. Provide clear, pragmatic guidance on tax questions arising from day to day operations and business changes, ensuring alignment between tax considerations and commercial objectives
• Oversee corporate tax compliance for our EMEA entities, coordinating with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent filings in line with local legislation and group policies. Proactively identify and resolve tax risks, ensuring robust documentation and audit ready processes
• Support the team in preparing and reviewing Danish corporate tax provisions and VAT returns, ensuring all local statutory obligations are met accurately and on time
• Partner with HQ functions e.g. Group Treasury to manage tax aspects of cash management, intercompany flows, and withholding tax (WHT) treatments. Coordinate cross-border payment documentation and treaty claims to ensure compliant and efficient global operations
• Support automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance the efficiency, data quality, and audit-readiness of tax reporting tools
• Monitor and analyze developments in international tax legislation, OECD guidance, and related standards, assessing their impact on the group’s global operations and advising stakeholders accordingly.
What you bring
Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant tax experience, gained in a comparable in house role and/or within a professional advisory firm
• University Degree in finance, tax, or a related field
• Strong technical knowledge of tax accounting and VAT
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong interest in optimizing tax systems and data driven solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and quality across tax processes.
