Data Project Manager

The Role
As a Data Project Manager, you will oversee and drive data-driven projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering substantial value to the organization. You will coordinate a team of data engineers and data analysts, engage with various stakeholders, and ensure the successful execution of data projects.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead and Manage Data Projects: Oversee and coordinate data projects within the R&D department, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery. Collaborate with team members across Denmark and Germany to achieve project goals
- Coordinate with Stakeholders: Engage with stakeholders from R&D, IT, marketing, and other departments to understand their requirements, manage expectations, and ensure project alignment with business needs
- Develop and Maintain Project Plans: Create and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Monitor progress and adjust as necessary to keep projects on track
- Implement Best Practices: Apply best practices for data management and project delivery, ensuring high standards of data quality and governance throughout project execution
- Identify and Mitigate Risks: Proactively identify potential project risks and develop strategies to address them, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining project integrity
- Provide Regular Updates: Deliver regular updates on project status to stakeholders, including progress reports, risk assessments, and resolution strategies
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, proposing enhancements to project management practices and tools to ensure ongoing effectiveness and alignment with best practices
- Share and Discuss Best Practices: Facilitate discussions and knowledge sharing within the team on how analytical solutions are developed and delivered, as well as how architecture is built and maintained
Candidate Profile

In terms of experience and competencies, you might have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Data Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Project Lead, with a background in data engineering, analysis, or architecture
- Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation
- Strong knowledge of data integration, governance, BI, and data warehousing
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders
- Experience working with international teams and managing projects across locations
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written
