We are looking for a highly skilled Signal Processing Engineer to join our R&D team in Erlangen. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing and implementing state-of-the-art audio algorithms on embedded digital signal processors (DSPs).

What you will do
Your Impact
You will work on platform development projects for our innovative hearing aid solutions. Your focus will be on real-time embedded DSP implementations, algorithm efficiency, and cross-functional technical collaboration.
Your Responsibilities
- Familiarize with major hearing aid algorithms for a broad overview on basic audio signal processing features.
- Simulate different realization options to decide for the best compromise between algorithmic performance and implementation efficiency.
- Implement hearing aid algorithms on digital signal processors (DSPs) in C/C++ using fixed point arithmetic.
- Adapt and optimize algorithms regarding computational complexity for an efficient realization on DSPs.
- Test and debug algorithms in a simulation framework as well as on hardware test platforms.
- Work within a cross-functional team with close collaboration in an international and interdisciplinary development setup
What you bring
- Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2 years plus of experience with signal processing applications
- Profound and broad knowledge in the field of signal processing algorithms.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++. Experience in fixed-point arithmetics and programming in an embedded environment is desirable.
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is a plus.
