How Mitch Loo focus on practicing mindfulness
Mitch Loo is a Senior Executive Secretary in Singapore. Having spent almost a decade with the company, she is the perfect representative for APAC. Practicing mindfulness is a big part of her life, and she destresses by practicing yoga and meditation. These enable her to become more adaptable to the workload, while also helping her face the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown period. Mitch tries to see things through the eyes of others and tends to look at a problematic solution holistically and gain insights into why someone is acting the way s/he is, which potentially leads to a constructive solution. At the end of the day, she is all about solutions and driven by the desire to help others, however big or small a problem may be.
How Sheena Oliver works smarter
Sheena Oliver is Chief Marketing Officer for WS Audiology in the US. Medium.com recently interviewed her on the topic of “Optimal Performance before high-pressure moments,” which makes her the perfect representative for the Americas today. Here is some of her advice: set reasonable expectations, be prepared, be clear about what you want professionally, and create a plan for yourself to get there. Practice self-care, stop caring about what others think of you, respect others’ personal time off, as well as your own. And finally, let others know what you want to achieve so they can help you stay accountable
Katja Freels (r) is a Clinical Research Audiologist, currently working as a System Engineer in Lynge. She moved with her family to our headquarters in Denmark, almost a year ago. That is part of why we chose her to be our representative for Europe since she knows two of our locations (although they have only gotten to know Denmark in “Corona- mode” so far). Another reason is that gender equality is extremely important to her and her husband, who also works for us. So much so that both work part-time, equally sharing all the “care work” at home. “In Denmark, this seems to be more equally distributed”, she says. Only to add: “Men working part-time should be normalized. Ultimately, this benefits everyone.”
