WSAudiology celebrates our 2 years anniversary
WS Audiology came into existence on March 1, 2019, and it is amazing to see how much the company had been able to do together.
Here are some of the best memories from our wonderful colleagues around the world.
Hugo Cordon, HearUSA:
“This customer came in to get new hearing aids but then had her hours cut in half due to the pandemic. She told us she was relying on her side business of baking cookies to make ends meet and had to put her new hearing aids on hold. Each of us in the office placed a small order to try her delicious cookies and support her business during this difficult time. When she came back to deliver the cookies, one week later, she told us she had found a new job and was grateful for our small orders and for supporting something she is passionate about. Since then, she has brought us 1 dozen cookies every month for the last 3 months and is head over heels with her new Signia Motion hearing aids.”
Tarmi Pienaar, South Africa:
“My special memory I will never forget: WSA South Africa participated in the Charity book drive July 2019. In addition, we decided to incorporate the donation in our Nelson Mandela Day celebration for 2019 and contribute to the 67 minutes for Mandela. Our aim was to contribute 67 books, and we ended up donating 154 towards Correctional Services – the Reading For Redemption Campaign. The aim of the campaign is to build a new culture of reading and learning among offenders at Correctional Services. I have been part of this campaign on a personal level in the past. I am passionate about creating reading awareness. Nothing makes me happier than books and helping people. We contributed globally, and the cherry on the cake was making a difference locally in South Africa.”

Sonia Stasiak, Singapore: “Everything's gonna be alright, we are family! This picture has been taken in front of the Lynge HQ on 2nd April 2019, just 1 month + 1 day into the merger. I and many other R&D managers from ex-Sivantos came to Lynge, most of us for the very first time, to kick-start discussions with ex-Widex counterparts on our new organization structure. Both sides excited to get to know each other and peek behind the curtains but also uncertain how things will turn out for our teams. I arrived the day before with a plan to meet a new colleague and discuss our very first project together, already (!) - how cool was that?! Well, after a troubled flight from Singapore, arriving later than expected, I was further delayed on my way to the hotel - Copenhagen was paralyzed by a Public Transport protest with extreme traffic jams. No choice but to cancel the meeting and hope this rough start of the journey is just an April Fools' joke, not a warning. With mixed feelings, I came to the office the next morning. Being welcomed by Widex and Signia flags on a sunny sky - I knew this couldn't turn bad! :)”
