Senior DevOps Engineer – Embedded Development Infrastructure

As part of our Embedded Software organization, you will play a key role in enabling reliable, scalable, and compliant development and test environments for our embedded software platforms.
The team
You will be part of the Embedded Software Test Operations & Pipelines (TOP) team, working closely with embedded software developers, test engineers, system architects, and IT stakeholders. The team is responsible for building and maintaining the internal development, build, and test infrastructure that supports our embedded software lifecycle.
What you will do
As a Senior DevOps Engineer – Embedded Development Infrastructure, you will take end-to-end responsibility for designing, deploying, and maintaining the IT and test infrastructure that supports embedded software development and validation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Defining and maintaining configuration templates describing how development and test machines should be provisioned and configured
Operating and maintaining a fleet of physical and virtual machines used for automated build and test pipelines, including hardware-connected test setups
Managing systems hosting Azure DevOps agents for CI/CD execution
Maintaining surrounding services such as licensing servers, data storage, visualization, and monitoring platforms
Operating virtualized environments using Proxmox and containerized workloads using Docker
Implementing and maintaining monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki
Supporting Windows and Linux environments through automation and scripting
Acting as a technical consultant for development teams by gathering requirements from multiple stakeholders and translating them into robust infrastructure solutions
Contributing to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and internal tooling initiatives
What you bring
We imagine that you hold a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT Engineering, or a related field, and that you bring solid experience from DevOps, infrastructure, or IT operations roles in complex technical environments.
Experience
4–6 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or IT automation roles
Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Ansible
Experience operating and configuring Windows and Linux systems
Proven experience with CI/CD tools, ideally Microsoft Azure DevOps
Solid understanding of virtualization and container technologies (Proxmox, Docker)
Basic IT network knowledge, including VLANs, DNS, and DHCP
Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows
Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar
Language skills
Fluency in English, written and spoken
Personal competencies
Open and communicative personality with a strong collaborative mindset
Comfortable acting as a consultant, teacher, and technical sparring partner
Structured and systematic approach to solving infrastructure and operational challenges
Ability to balance automation and innovation with stability and reliability
Curious and motivated by learning, improvement, and modern technology
