Global Lead, R&D Portfolio and Funnel Management

We are looking for a Global Lead, R&D Portfolio and Funnel Management to define and govern the global R&D portfolio strategy, align product roadmaps, investment decisions and resource capacity to ensure the highest-value innovation initiatives are prioritized and executed effectively across the organization.
What you will do
Strategic Portfolio and Scenario Planning
Develop and continuously refine the global medium and long-term R&D portfolio strategy with investment simulations
Establish a medium-to-long-term product roadmap aligned with business needs, ensuring prioritized opportunities across functions and seamless alignment between strategy and execution
Ensure portfolio composition reflects the optimal balance of innovation and sustaining engineering
Portfolio and scenario planning - creating, evaluating, and comparing multiple projects or investment options to recommend the best path forward.
Global Capacity and Funnel Governance
Develop and maintain global capacity planning frameworks across R&D domains
Facilitate cross domain resource alignment between Project Management Office (PMO) organizations
Ensure funnel overview with transparency, identify bottlenecks, forecast future constraints, and propose mitigation strategies.
Include risk, timeline and value in the overview, track progress and changes
Ensure that roadmap overviews are always up to date with R&D and MKT
Preparing and leading funnel decision meetings.
Global PMO and Governance Alignment
Align methodologies, reporting standards and governance structures across domains
Drive continuous improvement of project tracking and reporting systems with domain PMOs.
What you bring
Experience
• Master's degree in Engineering, Technology Management, Business Administration or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in Strategic Portfolio Management
• Experience in resource planning and capacity governance
• Portfolio Management certification is desirable
• Knowledge of regulatory framework in Medical Device industry would be advantageous.
Personal competencies
• Experience in global project and program management
• Experience leading leaders or senior specialists in matrix structures
• Ability to operate in complex, multi-stakeholder governance structures.
