Senior Financial Controller

You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality financial reporting for the Danish entities in the WSA Group. This includes driving continuous improvements and supporting smooth operations in a complex, international environment. The mission of the role is to safeguard accurate financial closing and reporting, strengthen internal controls, and act as a trusted finance partner across the organization and as well as towards external auditors.
What you will do
• Coordinate and facilitate the external audit process, including preparation of the Financial Statements
• Take part in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and/or Danish GAAP, including alignment with internal policies and controls
• Manage reporting to the Danish National Bank and Danish Statistical Department
• Strengthen and continuously improve documentation of internal controls and financial processes
• Collaborate closely with Group functions (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Internal Controls) and support global initiatives
• Partner with and oversee deliverables from the Shared Service Center to ensure high quality and efficiency.
What you bring
Experience
• 5–7 years of relevant experience as Financial Controller, Senior Auditor or similar
• Background from financial controlling and/or audit in a larger organization
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and/or Danish GAAP, with hands-on experience with external auditors
• Experience working in a matrix organization and across borders
• Experience collaborating with a Shared Service Center
• Strong Excel skills and solid experience with BI tools and ERP systems
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Audit (HD-R, cand.merc.aud or similar)
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
