This role sets the technical vision for our cloud platform and drives the evolution of our k8s-based infrastructure. You will shape how we build, run, and scale our internal developer platform (IDP) while enabling engineering teams to deliver faster and more reliably. This is a highly visible role where you influence architecture decisions, excite teams about platform capabilities, and create a strong foundation for future growth.

Skill, Impact, Leadership: In the platform team we value strong technical leadership in all roles – this also means that everyone, including architects, occasionally needs to be hands-on to stay grounded in the technology.

What you will do

• Define and drive a cloud agnostic technical vision for cloud and platform architecture based on open standards that can be run everywhere

• Design and evolve k8s-based infrastructure for a scalable internal developer platform and applications, accelerating feature development for internal customers

• Establish architecture standards through ADRs and champion their adoption across the organization

• Build proof-of-concepts and evaluate CNCF technologies (service mesh, observability, GitOps, dapr) that shape the IDP’s future

• Advocate platform adoption and run technical workshops across engineering teams

• Collaborate with development teams to improve developer experience and define a paved road for software delivery

• Guide IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability practices

• Partner with security and operations teams to ensure compliant and resilient cloud environments.

What you bring

Experience

• 3–7+ years of experience working with k8s in production environments

• Experience designing and operating cloud-native platforms in SaaS companies

• Hands-on experience with k8s and CNCF ecosystem tools and the CNCF platform engineering maturity model

• Experience with Hyperscalers (Azure preferred) and infrastructure automation

• Strong understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, and IaC (OpenTofu, Pulumi, Bicep, etc.)

• Experience improving developer experience and platform adoption with a strong focus on product thinking.

• Communicate technical vision clearly and influence stakeholders

• Inspire and energize teams around platform strategy

• Balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical work

• Collaborate across engineering, security, and operations teams

• Drive decisions and create alignment in complex environments

• Stay curious and continuously explore new cloud-native technologies.
